Scopes are the go to test tools for many automotive electrical systems. The great news is that our introductory two day course will remove the mystery surrounding this amazing tool and show you how to put it to good use the very next day in your workshop. Everyone CAN use a scope and we’ll show you how to be more confident with yours.

You’ll be using a selection of scopes including Pico, Tektronix, Fluke, and Bosch to name a few. If you’d like to bring your own then that’s fine by us. In this very practical course you’ll learn the differences between the many different types of scope along with their pro’s and con’s. You’ll discover the different ways to connect to the circuit or component under test as well as how to display a waveform and interpret it’s meaning. You’ll be using the scope to test engine management systems including the many actuators and sensors and learn how to start to make diagnostic decisions based on the results. You’ll also scope vehicle network systems and increase your awareness on what both good and bad waveforms look like.
